Animals still homeless after Katrina
Jasmine, the name shelter workers gave the kitten, was found cowering under a house in New Orleans trying to escape dirty, smelly floodwaters as a piece of metal pierced her eye. Miller, a dog pulled from the top of a trash container behind a building in the hurricane-ravaged city, had to undergo intensive training after he arrived at the shelter displaying aggression.
