State alerts animal shelters to dog flu in Poconos
Highly contagious virus broke out at Trifecta Kennels last month. The state Agriculture Department has alerted dog shelters of an outbreak of a fast-spreading, highly infectious virus after it surfaced at a Monroe County kennel, and the SPCA in Stroudsburg has quarantined its dog section as it awaits tests for the disease.
